We have an exciting opportunity for an Building Surveyor to join a highly regarded Housing provider in Cardiff.
As a Building Surveyor, you will support the delivery of the planned works programme and development of future investment programmes, by undertaking a programme of property surveys across the Cardiff area.
Your day to day:
Undertaking stock condition surveys, Building Surveys and assessments such as Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS), Energy Assessments, environmental/estate surveys and general building surveys.
Ensure Asset Management data is appropriately maintained and that condition data is captured and recorded accurately
Ensure records are updated following any validation or audits.
Assist with preparation of project proposals, options appraisal, feasibility studies, planned investment reports, and specific defect reports.What's in it for you?
Starting salary of £40,000
Working a 35 hour week – full flexibility to manage your own time and schedule
Option to work from home up to 4 days per week
26 days holiday PLUS bank holidays!About you:
Experience of undertaking assessments of buildings including Stock Condition and WHQS.
Ability to plan programmes of surveys to make best use of time and travel.
Ability to deliver high quality services to demanding customers.
Ability to communicate effectively with tenants and colleagues.
Ability to work successfully in a remote team.
Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
