Claims Handler – Motor Bodily Injury
Cardiff Offices – Hybrid Working
Salary: Up to £26,000 dep on exp
We are thrilled to present an exciting career opportunity for a Motor Bodily Injury Claims Handler to become an integral part of a friendly team, contributing significantly to enhancing our clients customer experience within their Claims department.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a case load comprising MOJ and OIC portal claims.
Your primary focus will involve direct engagement with policyholders to facilitate the resolution of their claims. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various sectors of the organisation, including customer service and underwriting, showcasing your expertise as a specialist in bodily injury claims.
Day to Day Duties:
* Evaluate indemnity, liability, and quantum aspects of motor claims, with a primary focus on injuries, encompassing credit hire and property damage considerations.
* Engage in negotiations to facilitate the settlement of claims, demonstrating effective persuasion skills to encourage claimants to accept intervention for damage, hire, and bodily injury claims.
* Demonstrate proficiency in the business's compliance procedures and risks, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and legislative requirements.
* Uphold high standards of quality, service, and productivity, aligning with company expectations.
* Exhibit awareness in identifying potential fraud by leveraging knowledge of fraud indicators, SIRA, or other available tools.
* Take responsibility for monitoring all claims litigation processes.
* Complete applications for and file CRU (Compensation Recovery Unit) certificates.
* Support the Claims team in other tasks as and when necessary
Skillset and Experience required:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a motor claims environment handling bodily injury claims
* Must pass a Credit and DBS Check (essential)
* Strong communicator with an ability to build relationships with customers, third parties and suppliers
* Strong organisational skills and proven ability to multi-task
* Experience of handling credit-hire (desirable)
* Experience of handling Scottish claims (desirable)
* A team player
* Minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (C grade or above) (desired)
