We are currently seeking a Welsh-Speaking Primary Teacher to join our team in Cardiff for a maternity cover role. The role will start in may but the school are looking to have interviews for the role starting from February 19th onwards.
As a Welsh-Speaking Primary Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing the language skills and cultural awareness of young students. You’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on their educational journey while fostering a love for the Welsh language.
Deliver engaging and effective primary education lessons in Welsh to students.
Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and teaching materials.
Assess and track students’ progress, providing feedback and support.
Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure students’ well-being and academic success.
Participate in professional development activities to enhance your teaching skills.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent primary teaching qualification.
Fluency in Welsh and proficiency in English.
Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Passion for teaching and promoting the Welsh language and culture.
An enhanced DBS (registered on the update service).
Registered with the Welsh Education Workforce Council (EWC).
Provide successful teaching references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
