Survey & Monitoring Manager
About the project
The Visual Impact Provision project in Eryri National Park aims to reduce the visual impact of National Grid’s overhead line across the Dwyryd Estuary from Minffordd to Llandecwyn.
Stakeholders have agreed that the best way to achieve this is to remove a section of this overhead line and replace it with electricity cables buried in a tunnel underground. It represents a major opportunity to conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and environmental heritage of this precious landscape of Eryri.
The role
Responsible for the overall project requirements in geodetic surveying and deformation monitoring. Oversee planning, evaluation, monitoring and surveying of Snowdonia VIP, ensuring compliance with contractual, legal requirements and industry standards.
As the Survey & Monitoring Manager you will report to the Tunnel Operations Manager. This is a very tunnelling specific role and with the support of Surveying Engineers will be responsible for the surveying and deformation monitoring works on the surface, in shafts and in the tunnel. You will ideally have a Surveying Engineering degree and probably minimum 5 years’ experience as a Survey Engineer.
PLEASE NOTE, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ON SITE MONDAY – FRIDAY. SUBSISTENCE SUPPORT WILL BE PROVIDED
