Vision for Education – Cardiff is looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team. You'll have the opportunity to work in various SEN schools and Pupil Referral Units (PRU) across Cardiff.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Condidtion (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues. Your efforts will help create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Support teachers in delivering customised educational programmes.
Assist students with their physical, emotional, and educational needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Manage challenging behavior with sensitivity and professionalism.
Encourage student engagement and participation.
Provide one-on-one support when necessary.

Prior experience working with children or adults with special needs is highly desirable.
A patient, caring, and empathetic nature.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varied needs of students.
A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
