Teaching Assistant – Newport
Teaching Personnel need a proactive and determined Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in Newport beginning after February half-term, 2024. The Teaching Assistant for this ideally should be experienced in working within a school/school setting. As well as this, with the role in mind we value those with any experience working with children in some capacity, examples of other experiences may be, playscheme, babysitting, sports coach, working in nurseries etc.
Specific responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant in this role would consist of the ability to support the pupils of the class with their learning and development. To be able to effectively supervise group work and activities alongside helping teachers to plan learning activities. Furthermore, you will be expected to create and build upon relationships with the teacher, pupils and parents.
Title – Primary Teaching Assistant
Location – Newport, (NP10 & NP20)
Pay – Minimum £77 per day
Start – February 2024
Qualities of a Teaching Assistant:
Prioritise building positive and meaningful relationships.
Previous experience working with children in some experience.
The ability to demonstrate strong communication and listening skills.
Strong use of empathy and understanding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
